Key Dates:

  • Abstract Submission Announcement: 20th October 2024
  • Abstract Submission Deadline: 31st December 2024
  • E-Poster Submission Deadline (For Accepted Abstracts): 10th January 2025
  • Notification of acceptance within: 1 Week from submission

General Guidelines:

  • Appropriate Ethical Approval From MOH/KU or other regulatory bodies should be submitted when applicable.
  • Abstracts & E-Posters are to be in English language only.
  • Authors are responsible for the scientific accuracy, grammar, and spelling of their abstracts. Poorly worded abstracts will be rejected.
  • There is No Limitation to the number of abstracts submitted by an individual author
  • Only complete submissions are considered for evaluation.
  • The abstract must be submitted by the Presenting Author.
  • Accepted abstracts will be presented in the conference as EPosters by the presenting authors. An email notiication will be sent to the presenting authors to submit their E-Poster for E-Display in the conference ( Check Key Dates above ).
  • Abstracts are accepted from all Medical Fields including Internal Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Laboratory Medicine, Pharmacy, nursing, etc.
  • Abstracts from year 2020 and later are accepted for submission, either published or unpublished, and either presented and/or awarded before in other conferences.
  • Abstracts from all Sabah Health Area in Kuwait are welcome.

E-Poster Presentation:

  • For E-Poster presentation, the primary author and/or co-author (i.e. the Presenting Author) will be allocated 5 minutes to present their E-Poster during the poster session.
  • The primary author and/or co-author (i.e. the Presenting Author) must be present during the conference to present their E-Poster ( Virtual presentation is not available ).
  • •Details of the timing of poster presentation, location of poster session, and start of poster tour during the conference will be sent to the accepted abstracts presenters by Email

Style, Format, and Content:

    Abstract Content & Specifications
  • The abstract is limited to 300 Total word count.Abstracts exceeding this limit will be returned to the author.
  • Each abstract submission may include 1 graph and/or 1 figure
  • Fonts: The abstract should be written in Times New Roman or Arial font 12-16pt., single-spaced, without spaces between paragraphs, and justified paragraph alignment

  • General ( Applicable to all types of Abstracts)
  • All Abstracts Must Include Title (In Capital Letters), Authors list, and Afiliations:
  • Original Research abstract Background/Introduction, Methods, Results, Conclusions, and Acknowledgments of research grants and facilities (if any).
  • Case Report abstract: Background/Introduction, Case Summary, Conclusions, Acknowledgments (if any).
  • Clinical Audit abstract: Background/Objectives, Standards, Methods, Results, Conclusions, Recommendations, and Acknowledgments of audit grants and facilities (if any).
  • All abbreviations must be defined in first use
  • No identifying features such as names of authors, hospitals, medical schools, clinics or cities may be listed in the title or abstract text, as a “blind” review process will be used
  • Statements such as “results will be discussed” or “data will be presented” cannot be accepted.
  • Use of brand names for all references to products or companies is not allowed. Only generic names must be used in the Abstract text.

Authors and Affiliations:

  • For each abstract, clearly list the names of all authors, the first author, the presenting author (if different from the first author), the corresponding author, and the correspondence details.
  • The first author and the sequence of co-authors must be approved by all members of the research group before abstract submission. No changes will be allowed after the initial submission
  • The affiliation of each author must be included in the abstract
  • One Author can only present a maximum of 2 abstracts during the entire conference. If you have more than 2 abstracts accepted, you will be obliged to identify alternate presenters for any abstract above the first two.

Abstracts Review Process:

  • Expert reviewers from Abstract Committee will independently evaluate each abstract.
  • The reviewing is blind; reviewers are not aware of the submitters' names or institutional connections/affiliations.
  • The reviewers will consider the following criteria:
    • Relevance: To the overall theme of the conference and topics listed above.
    • Scientific Merit: Direction toward developing a new or improved diagnostic procedure or idea
    • Organization: Well organized, easy to follow, and understandable.
    • Practically: Should be available, logical, and feasible
    • Clarity: Should be clear and brief and show understanding of the subject matter
    • Novelty: Of the topic (e.g., the case addresses a new question or problem or approaches traditional questions from a novel perspective.
    • Technical Quality: The idea must stand up to scrutiny. Facts and data have scientific backing.

E-Poster Content & Specifications ( Accepted Abstracts):

  • Accepted abstracts will be presented as E-Posters in the conference.
  • Presenting authors must submit the E-Posters no later than 10th of January 2025 ( Email Notification of accepted abstracts will be sent )
  • Content of E-Poster: Abstract, Introduction/Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions, Discussion, References, Acknowledgment (If Any).
  • Orientation & Size: Orientation & Size
    E-poster size should be 120 c.m. (h) X 90 c.m.(w).
  • Font: The E-Poster should be written in Times New Roman or Arial font 14-16pt. at least, singlespaced, and justified paragraph alignment.
    Font should be visible from 1 meter distance.
  • Poster Images, graphs, figures: E-Poster may include figures, graphs, diagrams, pictures, Clip arts, and tables.
    Clips arts, graphs, diagrams and drawings must be in high resolution EPS format (encapsulated postscript) 300 dpi or tif format- (tagged image format).
    Tables should be presented as images.
    Photographs, micrographs and scanned images: 1200 dpi for diagrams, scanned line drawings and line drawings in bitmap formats. Please note that artwork downloaded from the Internet (jpeg-, gif-, or pdf- files) cannot be used.

Terms and Conditions

  • The scientific committee reserves the right to make the final decision about the abstract acceptance and its scheduling into the program, based on topics and time constraints.
  • Each abstract submission must indicate if the material was published or presented in any other conference/course or if it received any awards
  • All presenters must register to attend the course and be present at the time of the course.
  • Presenters must not use the course for marketing purposes for products/equipment
  • Course registration charges will be waived off for accepted poster presenters only (Main Author only).
  • Payment for travel /accommodation/visa charges are not provided.
